When it comes to different printing techniques on customization of shirts, two of the most common techniques are screen printing and digital printing. T-Shirt Screen printing is the manual way of transferring a design to a shirt by using a woven mesh to force the ink out. Digital printing, on the other hand, is where a design is made in the computer and printed directly to the shirt using special printers.

Screen Printing is done when the design are simple and does not involve too much colors as it uses different colors of paints. So we know that glittery and metallic colors cannot be done much, or if it can be done, T-Shirt Screen Printing requires more labor and days in order to be finished. Digital printing, on the other hand, can do any design that you want in the computer and its printers have special inkjets that can combine different colors.

Since screenprinting is the manual way of customizing t-shirts, it cannot be edited once it has been transferred to the shirt. That’s why you have to be sure of your design when you prefer T-Shirt Screen Printing so that they can follow it the way you want to. With digital printing, you edit your design since it will be made in the computer. With a lot of photo enhancing programs, this will be a bit easier for the customer and the customization store as well.

When it comes to orders though, screen printed shirts online has the advantage because they prefer to make bulk orders rather than single ones. That is why customization stores such as Shirt Magic has a minimum number of 12 orders before they do the custom shirts because it’s much cheaper to pay for labor when they do a big volume than paying a labor for just one shirt. In digital printing, they can only do small or single orders because inkjets are still very expensive. You’ll pay an expensive price if you order in bulk using this kind of printing technique.

It’s good to know that there are people who still prefer screen printing than digital because it is cheaper and has been effective through the years. You can still count on it because ti has never failed people when it comes to customization.
